Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking an Accounting Manager to join a well-established construction company. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and providing support for strategic financial planning. The role includes managing the accounting team, enhancing processes, and supporting executive leadership with financial insights and reporting. This role will report directly to the Controller.

Main Responsibilities
- Track & analyze cash position, assist in cash forecasting, and reporting of net financial position
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial information to ensure integrity is maintained
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Responsible for the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and consolidated IFRS & GAAP financial reporting package to parent company
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
- Prepare tax worksheets and support schedules
- Participate in external and internal audits as required
- Maintain and develop internal control procedures
- Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education
A bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in accounting, finance or other applicable degree.
Skills
- 7+ years of accounting work experience is acceptable for this position
- Construction industry accounting experience including WIP reporting
- Strong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting standards Previous experience managing a small team
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple concurrent tasks
- Must possess excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (intermediate level)
- Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other enterprise construction industry software a plus
- Highly motivated, positive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and an effective communicator
