We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading financial operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance. Accounting Manager Job Duties:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of our accounting team to deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee the preparation of general ledger activities, specialized reports, and ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations
- Act as a strategic partner to the CFO and Controller, contributing to department direction and the professional growth of the finance team.
- Conduct internal audits and implement reporting structures and controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with auditors and manage external audit processes, quarterly reviews, and year-end financial reporting.
- Support a culture of learning, improvement, and collaboration within the department and across teams.
- Research emerging accounting issues and provide guidance on complex financial transactions and reporting treatments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA a plus
- Active CPA license highly desired
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong command of GAAP and healthcare regulatory frameworks (DMHC, DHCS, CMS, ERISA, HIPAA)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel, accounting software, and financial reporting systems
