POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage financial statement, accounting, and administrative aspects of the business. Provide reliable financial and operational information necessary for business decisions. Support Job Cost and Financial Accounting efforts of the manufacturing facilities at Pride and Red Bud.
This position also requires up to two visits annually to our manufacturing facility in Red Bud, IL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Review bank reconciliations.
§ Manage the cash accounts.
§ Oversee employee cash advances.
§ Complete month-end intercompany reconciliations and journal entries.
§ Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
§ Manage accounting of the inventory at manufacturing facility.
§ Oversee filing of annual, quarterly and monthly Use Tax and Sales Tax Returns and Personal Property Tax declarations for various states (Pride).
§ Collect and provide information for annual insurance renewals and annual insurance audits.
§ Calculate labor cost rates and intercompany charge rates.
§ Set up and facilitate monthly job cost projection meetings including meeting notes and follow-up with project team.
§ Review job cost reports and assist in the preparing monthly financial statements resulting from job cost projections.
§ Prepare monthly financial statements, notes on Trial Balance, graphs, sales forecast, etc.
§ Manage Payroll and AP deadlines.
§ Review payroll funding report for accuracy and to ensure sufficient funds are available
§ Review AP Open Payables (expense reports, purchase order invoices, foreign vendor invoices, and company overhead invoices).
§ Provide guidance and support to the Accounts Payable (Pride) and Accounts Receivable departments, and accounting questions in general.
§ Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes.
§ Prepare and oversee annual budgets.
§ Collect and provide information for annual consolidated financial review and tax prep.
§ Collect and provide information for retirement plan audit and Form 5500 filings.
§ Manage and review preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and year-end W2 Forms (Pride).
§ Manage and review preparation and filing of year-end 1099 Forms.
§ Provide information required for governmental surveys as requested.
§ Maintain working knowledge of the accounting process from purchasing, time entry, AR/AP, through financial results.
§ Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
§ Participate in a wide variety of special projects.
§ Handle any other activities as directed by the leadership team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
§ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
§ Five (5) years of “hands on” accounting experience is strongly preferred.
§ Must maintain a professional appearance.
