Overview
A well-established sports and entertainment company based in Wellington, FL is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing team. This role will report directly to the Controller and CFO and will play a key role in overseeing the company’s day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

The Accounting Manager will supervise a Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant and will be responsible for maintaining the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, with a particular emphasis on accrual-based accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, A/R, A/P, payroll, and month-end close
• Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and in accordance with GAAP and accrual accounting standards
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of a Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant
• Assist the Controller and CFO with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Collaborate and work cross-functionally with operations, HR, and executive leadership
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with the annual audit process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Public accounting audit experience would be beneficial
• Strong experience with accrual-based accounting and GAAP
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff
• Experience with ERP systems and AI tools
