A well-established manufacturing company in East El Paso is seeking a proactive and experienced Accounting Manager to lead key financial operations and support organizational strategy. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of financial information through strong accounting practices, compliance, and leadership. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in general ledger accounting, reporting, and team management, while upholding the company’s core values of integrity, excellence, and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Prepare and review the monthly Financial Package for the Board and Management, including financial statements, operating results, analysis, and commentary.
- Record and review monthly journal entries, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal standards.
- Manage and reconcile subsidiary accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Review inventory schedules and provide ongoing financial analysis for operating departments.
- Oversee monthly fixed asset roll-forward and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Process and file state unclaimed property reports and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecast, offering insights and recommendations.
- Review bank statements and supervise wire transfer requests and treasury-related functions.
- Supervise accounting staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting team members.
- Lead all external financial and contract/customer audits, including audit preparation and coordination.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of special reports for Controller, CFO, and Executive Management.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate data processing.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Communicate key updates across the organization and lead workflow planning and performance evaluation for the accounting team.
- Perform other accounting and leadership duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and U.S. GAAP compliance.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, variance analysis, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP experience preferred (Epicor a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.

- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
