Accounting Manager/Sr. Accounting Manager | Tech Manufacturing
Leading technology manufacturing company in Texas is seeking a sharp Accounting Manager to be responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role leads core accounting functions, manages the financial close process, and supports the development and improvement of accounting systems and internal controls. The Accounting Manager partners with cross-functional teams to provide reliable financial information that supports strategic decision-making and organizational growth.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, cash management, expense management, and financial reporting.
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Research and document technical accounting matters in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
Ensure proper general ledger coding and accurate classification of transactions.
Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and areas for process improvement.
Support the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of accounting systems and financial tools, including ERP and related platforms.
Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to accounting staff.
Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or other relevant professional certification preferred.
Progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
Experience managing general ledger functions and financial close processes.
Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP implementations or enhancements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective leadership and communication abilities.
Experience in both public and private accounting environments is preferred.
