Responsible for accounting functions, both internal and external, coordinate human resource activity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1\. Supervise all accounting operations, including timely and accurate preparation of ledgers, bank reconciliations, accounts payable processing, and accounts receivable activities
2\. Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting for internal / external use, including consolidated Division reporting
3\. Oversight of all accounting processes and controls in addition to be able to fill in for staff on an as needed basis
4\. Key contributor for internally developed software for the DBOS (Dealer Business Operating System)
5\. Work with outside CPA firms and legal counsel – Prepare all work papers for the annual audit
6\. Respond to various owner / management information requests
7\. Travel to Division locations required on an as needed basis
8\. Confidentiality and company asset protection
9\. Supervise staff of 4 to 5 employees
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Hands-on team player in financial management
• Accounting Bachelor’s and Master’s degree - CPA strongly preferred
• Combination of industry and public accounting strongly preferred
• Will consider someone looking to transition from public accounting
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills
