We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions while also overseeing daily office operations.
Position Overview This hands-on role combines strong accounting leadership with office management responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing job costing, and ensuring smooth administrative operations in our multi-entity construction business.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including month-end close and financial reporting.
Manage job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain internal controls.
Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
Support external audits, tax preparation, and banking relationships.
Office Management
Oversee daily office operations and administrative support.
Manage office supplies, equipment, facilities, and vendor relationships.
Supervise administrative staff and coordinate office procedures.
Handle HR administrative tasks including onboarding paperwork, benefits support, and record maintenance.
Provide administrative support to project teams and field operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Required: Experience with job costing and WIP schedules in a project-based environment.
Required: Comfort managing accounting for multiple entities.
Required: Prior office management or administrative leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Preferred: Construction industry experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar construction systems) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
