Position Title: Accounting Process Specialist I
Position Overview:
The Accounting Process Specialist’s primary function is to perform the clerical and administrative support functions related to auditing, accounting, tax, and other client services as directed by those professional staff members responsible for service completion. Performance is evaluated based on quality and accuracy of work.
Essential Functions:
Meets time and budget constraints and client deadlines.
Calculates payroll tax, sales or other local tax (if applicable), and prepares returns as needed.
Prepares FIRPTA applications in an accurate and timely manner.
Follows review notes, making corrections as requested and minimizes future incidents of corrections.
Assists with proofing documents.
Communicates with clients and team members, as requested, in an efficient and professional manner.
Types, copies, organizes, and assembles documents to be distributed to clients or others.
Logs in and tracks work being completed by respective team.
Performs clerical duties, which may include but not be limited to, writing correspondence, sorting mail, screening calls, greeting visitors, etc.
Provides support to team Executive Assistant(s) in coordinating and arranging meetings, preparing agendas and supporting documents for meeting, reserving/preparing facilities.
Maintains data accuracy.
Sets up electronically tracked tasks or prepare routing sheets for paper tracked tasks as needed.
Other Functions:
Develops an understanding of and adheres to Firm policies and procedures including (as appropriate) Firm’s Quality Control document.
Pursues training and upgrading of skills, including Firm software and Microsoft Office programs, etc.
Has a basic knowledge and understanding of the services and products offered by the Firm.
Assists various Supervisors and Managers within the group.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience and Skills:
Demonstrates sound critical thinking, professional judgment, and decision-making skills.
Solid knowledge of Word and Outlook and a basic knowledge of Excel as well as the ability to learn other programs including data base, e-mail, tax, and calendar software.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Conducts themselves with integrity in a responsible, professional manner and appearance.
Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
Works well under pressure with strict deadlines.

Working Requirements:
· Travel for meetings with clients or to attend seminars or staff meetings using a personal vehicle is likely.
· Occasional overtime is expected throughout the year.
· Flexibility to work certain Saturdays if necessary.

General office working conditions.
May be required to lift files/boxes in the range of 10-25 pounds.
