We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting professional to support accounts payable operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices, verify approvals, and ensure accurate coding to the appropriate accounts and departments.
- Prepare and execute vendor payments in accordance with company policies and payment schedules.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting support.
- Review purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support audit requests by providing documentation and account details as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and strengthen controls.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting, or bookkeeping preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
