    Job Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with hands-on experience to support daily accounting operations in a distribution environment. This role assists with accounts payable and receivable, inventory-related accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    · Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.

    · Code, post, and reconcile credit card transactions accurately and timely.

    · Post AR and AP invoices, credit memos, transfers, and payments.

    · Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (3-way match).

    · Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with 1099 processing.

    · Prepare aging reports for review and assist with collections.

    · Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing and payments.

    · Maintain customer sales tax documentation and records.

    · Remit multi-state sales tax reports in compliance with applicable regulations.

    · Organize, maintain, and file physical and electronic accounting documents and records.

    · Assist with other accounting duties, projects, and tasks as directed by supervisors.

    · Provide backup support for accounts receivable daily reconciliations, cash deposits, and associated duties.

    · Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

    Required Qualifications

    · 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a distribution or wholesale environment

    · Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Sage 100 strongly preferred

    · Working knowledge of accounting principles (AP, AR, GL)

    · Understanding of inventory accounting and distribution workflows

    · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations)

    · Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

    Work Environment
