    Position Summary

    Home Appliance is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing company. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of accounting processes across multiple business functions.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong auditing and reconciliation skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience working in a fast-paced, small business environment.

    Responsibilities

    Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payment runs

    Manage accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections activities

    Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries

    Conduct account audits and identify discrepancies

    Maintain general ledger accuracy

    Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

    Prepare recurring financial reports and analyze financial data

    Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations

    Prepare commission reports

    Process and reconcile manufacturer rebates and claim backs

    Prepare and file sales tax reports and ensure compliance with tax regulations

    Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

    Assist with process improvements and other accounting projects as needed

    Qualifications

    Minimum of three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

    Small business accounting experience preferred

    Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting

    Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP

    Strong auditing, reconciliation, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

    Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation

    Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
