    Office Services of Columbia is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist (Bookkeeper) to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple accounts and values accuracy, organization, and client service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
    • Maintain accurate general ledger records
    • Process payroll and payroll-related filings as needed
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
    • Reconcile credit card accounts and manage expense tracking
    • Assist with year-end reporting and collaboration with CPAs
    • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
    • Communicate professionally with clients regarding financial matters

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
    • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
    • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

    Preferred Experience (a Plus)

    • Bookkeeping experience in restaurants and/or property management
    • Experience handling sales tax, hospitality tax, or tenant/owner reconciliations
