  • Responsibilities

    The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting needs of a fast-paced residential construction company. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, is highly proficient in QuickBooks and Google Sheets, and is comfortable working with multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities: • Perform daily bookkeeping and general accounting functions • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with the month-end close • Track job costs and assist with construction accounting • Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and subcontractor records • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements • Prepare spreadsheets and financial analyses using Google Sheets • Work closely with management to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting • Support year-end tax preparation and coordinate with the company's CPA • Perform other accounting an dadministrative duties as assigned Qualifications: • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or homebuilding experience preferred) • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks • Advanced Google Sheets and spreadsheet skills • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • High level of integrity and confidentiality PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with residential construction or homebuilding accounting • Job costing experience • Experience working with subcontractors and vendor payments • An associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus Compensation: $45,000 - $60,000 yearly
