    Salary: $150,000.00-$180,000.00

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Systems & Data Specialist to support a growing multi-company operation.

    This role sits at the intersection of accounting, data, and technology, with primary responsibility for maintaining and improving QuickBooks environments, inventory and COGS accuracy, system migrations, reporting, and workflow automation.

    This is not a traditional IT role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of technical and data-related problems, works through the details, and drives them through completion.

    Responsibilities

    • Own the day-to-day accuracy and organization of QuickBooks files across multiple companies.

    • Investigate and resolve inventory, SKU, costing, and COGS discrepancies.

    • Support QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migrations, including validation and post-migration reconciliation.

    • Build spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, and automated workflows for finance and operating teams.

    • Troubleshoot system integrations and improve recurring accounting/data processes.

    • Own technical requests through completion, handling straightforward issues directly and managing outside contractors when needed.

    Must-Haves

    • Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

    • Experience working with inventory, COGS, or inventory-based accounting.

    • Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.

    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.

    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently drive work to completion.

    Preferred

    • QuickBooks Desktop to Online migration experience.

    • Multi-company or multi-entity accounting experience.

    • Experience with workflow automation or integration tools.

    • Exposure to e-commerce, distribution, Shopify, Power BI, Zapier, Make, or similar systems.

    What Success Looks Like

    • QuickBooks data is accurate, organized, and consistent across companies.

    • Inventory and COGS issues are identified and resolved before they affect reporting.

    • System migrations are completed accurately with minimal disruption.

    • Manual reporting and accounting processes become increasingly automated.

    • Projects and technical requests move from problem to verified completion without requiring constant follow-up.
