    Job Summary:

    The primary purpose of this position is to support the Director of Finance & Accounting and Property Accountants in providing general accounting services for Vision Hospitality Group. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

    • review and verify invoices and check requests
    • sort, code and match invoices
    • set invoices up for payment
    • enter and upload invoices into system
    • track expenses and process expense reports
    • prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
    • prepare and perform check runs
    • post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
    • reconcile accounts payable transactions
    • prepare analysis of accounts as needed
    • monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
    • research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
    • maintain vendor files
    • correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
    • produce monthly reports
    • assist with month end closing
    • provide supporting documentation for audits

    Necessary Skills:

    • 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
    • Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.
    • knowledge of general accounting procedures
    • knowledge of relevant accounting software
    • proficient in data entry and management
    • Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
    • Stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.
    • Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far.
    • Finger dexterity for operating kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as, writing.
    • Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English.
    • Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder.
    • Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours.
