Accounts Payable/Receivables Specialist

Harper Construction is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivables Specialist for our office located in Little Italy in downtown San Diego.

Responsibilities

• High-volume paperwork processing involving various accounting applications
• Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner each week
• Handles regular and complex invoices and vendors
• Researches and resolves escalated issues from other accountants
• Handle incoming AP email
• Remote deposit of incoming checks and properly code them
• Processing lien releases
• Processes invoices, collecting releases and verify with certified payroll, insurance, and contracts
• Prepare and follow-up with various correspondence
• Provide admin and general business support in day-to-day matters

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of accounts payable/receivable experience
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to work onsite Monday-Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sage CRE300, Procore, and Pvault
• Experience in either Construction, Real Estate, or Finance environment
• Lien release knowledge
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management

Compensation and Benefits

• $29-34 per hour
  • The offered rate will be based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience.
• This position is eligible for our benefits package including 100% company paid employee medical and dental insurance. The company also covers 30% of dependent medical and dental coverage. Vision, life, FSA and supplemental insurances are available. We also offer a 401(k) plan with company match, company paid holidays and vacation.
