Role Summary
We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our corporate accounting team. This individual will process high volumes of invoices across multiple properties, reconcile accounts, and assist in maintaining accurate financial records. This is a hands-on, in-office role with opportunities to grow into leadership positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process 100+ vendor invoices weekly, ensuring timely payments and proper coding
- Perform reconciliations of AP ledger, vendor accounts, and monthly statements
- Collaborate with on-site property managers to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Assist with credit card reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
- Support periodic bank reconciliations and ensure timely payments of critical expenses
- Help close monthly financials by supporting accruals and expense tracking
- Maintain organized AP documentation and contribute to audit readiness
- Work closely with the offshore AP support team for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable , preferably in multi-family property management
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PDF handling (e.g., filling, editing, and organizing documents). Strong spreadsheets and document formatting skills are essential. ****
- Knowledge of U.S. payment practices, vendor management, and tax document requirements (e.g., W-9s)
- Must be organized, deadline-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced office environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive financial data
