Title: AP/AR Representative, Sr.
Shift: Full Time, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: $30/hr. (Based on experience)
Role Overview: This senior role oversees and manages the client's accounts payable and receivable functions. The goal is to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This individual handles complex transactions and is crucial to maintaining the organization's financial integrity. The successful candidate oversees and manages team members and requires experience in a senior or supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities
The AP/AR Representative, Sr. will be responsible for the following:
Oversee the generation and distribution of customer invoices and the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage payment schedules, including electronic transfers, check runs, and wire transfers.
Monitor and manage the company accounts.
Enter invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.
Review and approve accounts payable batches for accuracy and completeness.
Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors.
Handle payment and billing issues with customers to resolve discrepancies.
Lead the collection process, including negotiating and creating payment plans for delinquent accounts.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AP/AR operations.
Train and mentor junior team members, guiding best practices and procedures.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience and other education will be considered in lieu of Bachelors.
Possess 5 or more years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related accounting roles.
Possess 2 or more years of experience in a senior or supervisory role.
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Show strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possess in-depth knowledge of accounting software.
Be able to work independently and make decisions within established guidelines.
