Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Location: Irvine, CA Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary: Acadian Fish Company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the company’s cash flow by ensuring timely collections. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and able to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards)

Generate and distribute invoices and account statements

Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances

Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections efforts

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions

Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities

Partner with sales and customer service teams to address account issues and maintain strong customer relationships

Prepare aging reports and provide updates to management

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

1–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ERP systems

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Bilingual in Spanish preferred
