    Location: Charlotte, NC

    Starting Pay $28 an hour

    Job Description:

    The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely management of customer receivables in accordance with company policies and proper accounting standards. This is an individual contributor role based in our Charlotte, NC office, working full-time on-site. The associate will process daily transactions, maintain customer accounts, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity of the accounts receivable ledger.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Post daily accounts receivable payments accurately and on time
    • Identify, research, and resolve payment discrepancies and differences
    • Process bank transactions and reconcile cash receipts
    • Generate and send customer reminders and past-due notices
    • Communicate with customers (debtors) regarding outstanding balances and payment status
    • Coordinate with the internal sales and sales controlling teams on account issues Assist with customer credit assessments and support credit insurance coordination
    • Maintain customer account records and ensure accurate account assignments
    • Post and review business transactions; verify invoices for accuracy
    • Prepare standard internal and external reports and evaluations
    • Maintain organized filing of accounting documents and records
    • Support month-end and year-end financial close activities as needed
    • Maintain and update customer master data and defined fields in the ERP system
    • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives and documentation
    • Perform cash accounting and reconciliation tasks as assigned Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to accounts receivable activities

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related role
    • Working knowledge of accounting principles and basic accounts receivable processes
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) a plus
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office setting
