Senior Accountant

Hollywood, FL | Full-Time | Onsite

We are hiring a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a stable, privately owned distribution company based in Hollywood, FL.

This role offers strong visibility to ownership and the opportunity to grow into greater responsibility over time. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, strengthening internal processes, and ensuring financial accuracy within a product-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

Review journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

Assist with month-end close and financial reconciliations

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

Support inventory accounting and cost tracking

Assist with import-related expenses, customs, and duty entries

Monitor aging reports and assist with collections

Review payroll prior to processing

Support cash flow planning and vendor payment scheduling

Prepare financial reports for ownership

Coordinate with external CPA firm during month-end and year-end

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

5–8+ years of accounting experience

Experience in distribution, wholesale, logistics, or product-based companies strongly preferred

Inventory accounting experience required

Familiarity with import or duty-related expenses is a plus

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
