    Momentum is hiring a Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents related to Accounts Receivable (AR). This position performs a variety of billing functions to ensure the proper preparation of accurate and timely bills to customers based on service contract terms and related activities. Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist include application of cash or electronic payments to Regional Center AR Sub-Ledgers, posting of monthly charges to AR Sub-Ledgers, and resolving billing discrepancies.

    Accounts Receivable Specialist Essential Duties:

    • Reviews monthly client census and back-up documentation and researches any discrepancies
    • Data entry related to monthly billing to various Regional Centers utilizing web-based system
    • Posts all cash receipts to Regional Center client subsidiary ledger
    • Posts all monthly charges to Regional Center client subsidiary ledgers
    • Performs basic and routine research to resolve differences or unidentified/misapplied payments to client ledgers and works collaboratively with AR Manager to determine course of action to resolve open items
    • Assists AR Manager with annual year-end audit and any government audits related to Regional Center
    • Maintains records, paperwork, and filing system in the Accounts Receivable department
    • Assists AR Team with fiscal year end tasks, including but not limited to creating new files and labels, rotating and archiving storage of AR Department documents

    Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2 years of accounts receivable experience
    • Experience with medical billing and reimbursement process; highly preferred
    • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Proficient in basic math skills
    • Great time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
    • Read, write, and communicate in English
