Responsibilities: • Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers • Choose the best material for modeling by researching material properties in large databases • Keep superintendents and project managers up-to-date on the progress of the design and let them know when designs are complete • Use design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the complexity of the project • Create budgets and timelines for the design project by working with other construction team members Qualifications: • At least 2 years of experience in architectural design • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in design, architecture, construction engineering, or similar field is preferred • Have great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills • Be informed about the latest trends in design software and have a good understanding of the architectural design industry as a whole • Extensive knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion Compensation: $58,000 yearly
