We are a leading tutoring, writing, and business consulting service in Katy, TX. We are a small business that has been around for 10+ years. Our owner also owns Books and More by Jennifer A Whitaker where the person who is hired will also serve. These are two different companies that are planning to hire one to two people to serve the same type of duties for both. Below are the roles in general. We use a project board that will have the exact tasks to which each person will get access. The right person can be an experienced administrative assistant with knowledge in web design, graphic design, and digital design or someone who is experienced in one or more of the areas. We are accepting applications from Yearbook staff high school students, high school students who are experienced in these areas, or similar with college students that have a major/experience related. 

TASKS

-edit/update current graphic design items like business cards

-add affiliate marketing links to website of products specified

-design a book cover for every book owner finishes writing

-social media marketing

-upload documents

-change file forms of various documents

-working with IngramSpark and KDP book publishing process through uploading files and making covers, sales pitches etc 

-specific researches and presenting findings for the owner to make decisions

-setup automatic response of various applications already made but need to be set up such as posting a post on Facebook automatically being copied/posted onto Instagram, YouTube, etc

-writing blog posts occasionally

-adding affiliate marketing links to various search engine local listings, Facebook Business page, and other places where traffic can find us

-use the app we prefer and edit blog posts occasionally, help edit books after the rough draft is completed, and divide books into chapters.

-add any graphics/title page etc to books to be professional in appearance/presentation to readers

The right person will be a student who knows through experience in some club/group at the school, and/or is studying something related where this will help build your resume for a higher paying job after graduating college. 

We pay through Zelle transfers or Google Pay so we want applicants who are willing to take automated payments through one of these methods. If you do not have them, you can set up one of them with your bank account after starting, as long as completed in time for payment. We pay some weekly, and others biweekly. We will set a certain number of hours as the max but understand when finals or midterms can make it hard to put in the time so we are flexible as long as the overall is a good performance. The idea person, or two people, will be local in the Houston area able to occasionally meet in person at a coffee shop in Katy when needed. Generally, other than the interview, we as a team will work virtually.
