Acosta Heating & Cooling is seeking an individual to support the team in the field and assist in maintaining inventory in the warehouse. This is an entry level position and includes apprentice training for growth and training of the HVAC industry!
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Deliver parts and equipment to crews at various work sites
- Pick up parts and equipment from company or vendor’s warehouse
- Load and unload equipment and supplies
- Operate forklift (training available)
- Complete and submit paperwork of all parts and equipment delivered to ensure accuracy of inventory
- Communicate any concerns or delays with delivery or pick up of equipment or supplies with Warehouse Manager
- Assist in Warehouse, as needed
- Keep truck clean and well maintained
- Clean parking lot, as needed
- Maintain safe work practices and environment
- Be a team player with a strong sense of urgency to support the field
- Commitment to company values and goals
- All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by Management
SKILLS
- Ability to obtain Forklift certification
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at once
- Requires efficiency and following procedures to ensure accurate inventory and the selection and loading of product
- Basic computer competency skills
- Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Well groomed, neat appearance
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Valid social security number
- Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules
- Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required
