City Underwriting is a third generation insurance brokerage, providing property casualty, group heath, and bonding, risk management services to businesses. The primary duties of the CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE is to work with the COMMERCIAL LINES Department and to provide the technical servicing and support and/or the clients' Insurance servicing needs. Also support Account Managers and Sales Producers in preparing necessary paperwork to maintain accounts. This position in an entry-level position and perfect for that new grad or someone looking to launch their insurance career.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support Account Managers to complete administrative tasks
    • Initiate renewal activities
    • Create/update coverage specifications in agency management system database
    • Process policy changes
    • Review Quotes and prepare client proposals
    • Maintain accurate customer files and diary system
    • Utilize carrier websites to quote, process changes and access policy documents
    • Check policies and endorsements for accuracy & deliver to insured
    • Prepare certificates
    • Issue ID cards
    • Transact agency and direct bill invoicing

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma required
    • College degree, (2 or 4 year) preferred
    • One year Insurance or office experience, preferred but not required

    TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:

    • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook, required

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High attention to detail and organization skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to interact with diverse personalities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Bilingual (Spanish) would be a bonus
