    THE CAMPBELL GROUP is a leading multi-line insurance broker, one of the largest in the state.  Our office is conveniently located in Caledonia, off of Broadmoor (M-37) just south of M-6.  Our company is seeking motivated, organized, positive employees to join our team.

    We are currently looking to add to our team an exciting opportunity as a TRANSPORTATION CSR. This role will be responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous support. This entry level position provides opportunity for career growth.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Enter new client accounts into the agency management system, including prospects.
    • Review policy for accuracy (comparing it to the proposal and agency management system) and handle corrections.
    • Receive, review and document all client and underwriter correspondence (phone, email, mail, fax, etc.) in agency management system including change requests, endorsement processing and audits. 
    • Act as a primary back-up for the Account Manager, handling immediate service needs.
    • Review follow up list on a weekly basis and take appropriate action, manage the missed expiration, in-process and submitted status reports.
    • Manage the cancellation and reinstatement process.
    • Support the monthly reporting process including preparing preliminary reports, correspondence with the client, submitting to the carrier and transacting.
    • Support the renewal timeline process including preparing renewal exposure requests, loss run ordering, loss summaries, proposals and renewal documents.
    • Assist Account Manager with marketing new/renewal business as needed.
    • Prepare certificates, evidences and other proofs of coverage and forward to appropriate parties when requirements exceed those issued by the Certificate Department.
    • Transact agency bill items.  Set up premium financing as needed.  Ensure proper coding of agency commission, producer commission, service structure and agency structure.  Review and take action on all account receivable items as directed.  Solve transaction issues with carriers and accounting department.
    • Assist in the training of other employees at Manager’s request
    • Comply with agency standards, policies and procedures.

    COMPETENCIES:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or the recognized equivalent
    • Must possess and maintain active Michigan P & C License or obtain within six months of hire
    • Individual should have a working knowledge of commercial insurance with 1-2 years’ experience preferred
    • Transportation experience, whether in industry or insurance field, preferred

     

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Demonstrated strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Knowledge of Agency Management Systems, preferred

     

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have a high level of understanding accounting or strong math skills.
    • Must be organized, detail oriented, efficient, able to multi-task and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must have a positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to effectively work with others.
    • Must have a high level of problem-solving skills including effective note taking and self-review.
    • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
