Action Freight is looking to add team members for our Warehouse operation. We are a local pick up and delivery company servicing the greater Austin area and are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes.
- Regular scheduled attendance, punctuality and dependable transportation is a must. We have morning and evening shifts available and can offer flexible schedule and shift assignments. Absences and tardiness negatively impact operations and must be kept to a minimum. On call rotation one weekend per month, additional compensation provided for on call shift.
- Positive attitude, team oriented and a good work ethic.
- Load and Unload trucks, scan and take pictures of cargo upon receipt.
- When required assist in second man operations/deliveries with assigned route drivers.
- Safely operate forklift, pallet jack and/or dollies to move cargo in and out of warehouse.
- Review and process bill of ladings, verify and notate piece count and cargo condition, locate, tag, pull and put away cargo as needed.
- Repack, band, strap, stretch wrap cargo as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, general housekeeping, sweeping and debris disposal/cleanup of dock, facility, and truck court.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow specific job instructions and training documents.
- Must pass all relevant background and employment tests/requirements (no felonies).
- Benefits and Paid Time Off along with regular performance reviews after 90 day probation period.
- Pay rate is $17.00 - $20.00 p/hr. dependent on experience. No experience is required, on the job training will be provided.
- Immediately report any “near misses”, accidents, and/or injuries to your manager.
- Arrive fit for duty and to remain so for the entirety of the workday.
- Talking or hearing, writing, reading, typing, computer, telephone, 2-way radio, standing, walking, sitting, bending, using hands and fingers, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouch or crawling. Exposed to loud noise and humid conditions (some outside weather conditions).
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds, with or without assistance, range of motions/flexibility.
