Action Target is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer that possesses a broad skillset, is self-driven, motivated, committed to quality, and has a passion to excel. This engineer will work independently and with a team to provide direction and resolution for the design, installation and maintenance of automated target systems used in commercial, military, and law enforcement shooting facilities.
Any applicant should be well seasoned in their discipline, be able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, not be afraid of a challenges or setbacks, and be able to produce results. You will implement and communicate your ideas across the organization, so good communication and documentation skills are a must. This individual must possess the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion. This is a tremendous opportunity to make a large difference in a key role, and further expand one's skillset.
SOME OF YOUR DAY TO DAY TASKS:
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO?
Travel 10-15% of the time, domestic and international
Engineering degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Electrical Safety standards and compliance, NEC (required), UL or TUV
Knowledge in Ethernet and Wireless communication, TCP/IP (Required)
Familiar with schematic entry, PCB layout, and CAD tools (Altium Preferred)
Knowledge with motors and motion control algorithms such as PID loops, DC, induction, stepper, and brushless.
Experience in analog and mixed-signal circuits such as op-amps, control loops, DAC, linear and switching regulators.
Knowledge of real-time and embedded operating systems
Linux administration experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Creo
Able to give clear direction to others, and drive projects to completion
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
