    Location: Head Office, Lexington, KY

    Activate is a fast growing location based entertainment company. The parent company of Activate America also owns Breakout Games, the largest escape game company in the US, and a couple other smaller concepts. Activate currently has 5 locations open in the US, but has 4 others in construction to be completed by the end of 2023. Activate and Breakout are heavy on network connected electronics and the IT Director will be in charge of managing all of our general hardware and software needs.

    Activate and Breakout are innovative entertainment concepts that give guests unique experiences at a local level and we expect our IT services to live up to the same expectations as our games. We want to provide seamless and simple systems for our guests to book, ask questions, give us reviews, and communicate with our team. We also want to give our team members solid systems and support infrastructure to let them focus on the guests.

    Our ideal IT Director candidate will be able to see the bigger goals that we want our systems to accomplish and work with our internal teams or partners to accomplish those goals. We are looking for a hands-on IT director, someone who likes to know their systems inside and out, and can teach others how to use them effectively. If this sounds like you, please apply.

    Job functions

    Manage location and HQ networks

    Design and setup new locations networks

    Manage phone systems for all locations

    Manage our online bookings systems

    Manage POS systems and credit card processing software

    Manage Support ticketing systems

    Evaluate and implement new software integrations systems

    Manage ISP accounts and new ISP installations

    Organize and manage projects with the Engineering department

    Manage Access control systems at locations and HQ

    Manage camera and NVR systems at locations and HQ

    Train support staff to be frontline support for Network, Phone, Camera, and ISP issues.

    High level support for major Network, Phone, Camera, and ISP issues.

    Manage all physical devices in use at Locations and HQ (Computers, ipads, etc).

    Project manage new initiatives

    Cloud server management and setup

    Experience Needed:

    8+ years of IT experience

    Broad experience in different areas of IT

    Ability to problem solve and come up with innovative solutions for unique problems

    Experience training support staff and teaching less technical team members how to use systems

    Great communication and writing skills
