We’re seeking an Activity Aide to engage residents in a therapeutic program in our behavioral health facility. This is not a therapist's position, but you will help residents with life enrichment and entertainment to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs while they are with us. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in sports , culture, music , and traditional recreational activities , to help bring joy, structure, and stimulation to those in our care.

What You’ll Do

✅ Lead engaging daily activities, ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
✅ Create stimulating cognitive and memory retention events for long-term residents
✅ Contribute to programs that keep short-term patients motivated and engaged
✅ Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
✅ Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to individualize programming

Qualifications

Activity / Activities Aide

_ What we need from you:_

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year experience working with the elderly and the physically and/or mentally impaired in an Activity Department, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and must be 25 years old or older.

These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs), Short-term Care Rehabilitation, Intermediate Care (ICFs), and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
