Activity Assistant
Job Title: Activity Assistant
Hours Worked: 40 hours per week, days of the week may vary (see schedule)
Lunch: to be taken before the end of the 4 th hour of work.
Qualifications: 1. Shall be at least 18 years of age
- Shall have criminal record clearance prior to presence in the facility
- Shall have a health screening and TB test, performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to employment. The TB test results will be received within seven (7) days of employment; the health screening report will be received within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Shall pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Shall have appropriate training in first aid from persons qualified by such agencies as the American Red Cross.
- Shall possess the ability to read, write and speak English
Duties:
- Assist Director with monthly calendar and newsletters.
- Attend regular Activity Department Meetings
- Maintain records of activities under the supervision of Activity Director
- Coordinate with AD in planning and participating in arts, crafts, games, and other activities.
- Develop and maintain a list of community resources with the direction of AD.
- Plan and organize a variety of social, recreational, religious, and educational activities for residents with the direction of AD.
- Assist in dining room at breakfast and lunch & serve snacks and water pass.
