WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The IT Operations Engineering Manager is responsible for architecting, building, and implementing the Acuity’s operational technical needs. This includes managing Engineers responsible for the Acuity’s technical assets. The IT Operations Engineering Manager will work closely with Engineering as well as Product teams and decision makers in other departments to support the current infrastructure as well as develop and deploy new, cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Managing ItOps and DevOps operations for teams, ensuring that people and systems are in place to meet or exceed business goals
Oversee day to day operations of network and server infrastructure
Oversee off-site datacenters comprised of physical and virtual servers in a Linux operating system environment
Continual monitoring, maintenance and optimization of network and server infrastructure
Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's hardware, software, and systems
Research, evaluate and recommend new hardware, software and services to improve IT Operations
Build, deploy and maintain physical and virtual servers running Windows, Mac and Linux
Develop, implement, document and maintain IT policies and procedures
Conduct regular server maintenance including installation of critical updates and security patches
Perform data backups, suggest improvements to backup and retention strategy and work with key personnel to develop comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Create and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of network and server infrastructure
Who You Are:
You have IT Operations Management experience.
You have demonstrated skill in managing multiple projects to meet goals. You have a strong sense of pace and urgency; ensuring work is completed in the expected timelines.
You are a collaborative team player, establishing effective working relationships both internally and externally working cross-functionally with Engineering, and Product teams.
You are results focused. You are a team-player, but you also thrive working autonomously. You can operate with little oversight given appropriate direction and high-level priorities.
You have a desire and history of owning problems, evaluating options and leading through challenges to a resolution.
You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
You have experience in Agile Software Development environment
You have working knowledge of Linux, VMWare
Experience with Python and Bash are desired but not mandatory

Our real time bidding and ad serving layers are built in Java, Akka and Spring. Millions of events are funneled over Kafka topics destined for storage and analysis in our Hadoop Big Data cluster. Data flows into a real time analytical reporting for end users. Our AI/Machine learning ingests events and completes feedback loops into the real time systems. Our DevOps technologies and tools include Python, Bash, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker and so on.
