    Job Description

    OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Agent serving Arizona clients is responsible for growing Acumen’s presence within the self-directed community, supporting clients through their lifecycle with the organization, and ensuring contract compliance.

    • Determine and initiate action to resolve denied claims and all ancillary collection processes.
    • Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for improved systems and efficiencies.
    • Maintain customer confidentiality.
    • Adhere to all accounting policies, procedures and guidelines.
    • Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor.
    • Work well independently with limited supervision.
    • Work a flexible work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, week nights and holidays.
    • Perform other work related activities as assigned.
    • Accurate and timely preparation of electronic and/or hardcopy medical claims for a variety of funding sources
    • ALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Prior experience in customer service and/or client relations.
    • Experience with GA Medicaid Billing a plus!
    • Ability to logically and efficiently analyze issues and address multiple priorities in a professional manner.
    • Experience reading, processing and researching prior authorizations for services
    • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
    • 10 key by touch.
    • Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) and Word as well as E-mail experience.
    • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
    • Accuracy and the ability to handle responsibility with limited supervision.
    • High standard of integrity.
    • Ability to work well with numbers.
    • Ability to read and work accurately with formulas.
    • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, task oriented.
    • Good interpersonal communication skills.
    • Patience, perseverance, and follow through skills.
    • Ability to handle conflict and difficult customers and/or state stakeholders and/or case managers.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands successfully.
    • Must be able to plan for and meet multiple deadlines.
    • Experience working with multiple applications.
