  • Responsibilities

    Full-time DoD financial expert needed to lead Marine Corp LOGCOM MICP/FIAR activities.    

     

    This person will augment MARCORLOGCOM’s capability to assist with developing and administering an efficient and effective enterprise-wide Audit Sustainment and MICP programs in order to assess internal controls over financial systems, financial and non-financial operations, financial and non-financial reporting, to include enterprise wide audit risk assessments.   The work includes the monitoring the validation and/or improvement of MARCORLOGCOM MICP include reviewing the testing of newly mapped business process key controls, and drafting the Statement of Assurance.

     

     The selected candidate should have expertise in DoD Full Financial Statement audit sustainment and OMB Circular A-123 implementation methodology.  Ability to consolidate findings into completed staff action papers and reports with supporting briefing slides. Prepare and present high-level briefings of conclusions and recommended courses of action to MARCORLOGCOM executive and senior management teams and other Marine Corps organizations and departments.   

     This is a team leadership role suitable for professionals who have provided extensive FIAR/MICP/audit sustainment support to the DoD in the past.  Compensation is above market for the right individual.

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Minimum of 10 years of DoD or Federal Agencies experience working audit readiness/sustainment. This also includes understanding of full financial statement audit competencies.

    • PmP certification, CDFM, CPA, CGFM, CISA certifications are highly desired, but not required.

    • Demonstrate expertise in audit readiness and sustainment, ERM and MICP projects.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
