Job Description
Seeking paralegal for a growing, boutique Workers' Compensation defense firm in Glendale, CA, with a casual, but diligent work atmosphere and manageable caseloads. We represent both self-insured employers and insurance companies.
Time management, organization, analytic capabilities, multi-tasking abilities, writing skills, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Tasks may include coordinating medical treatment, reviewing medical records and medical billing, negotiating medical liens over the telephone, appearing at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board on lien issues, preparing trial exhibits, legal research, drafting memorandums or pleadings, and drafting correspondence to opposing counsel, lien claimants or clients. Bachelor's Degree and ABA-certified paralegal certificate are required. Workers' Compensation experience is not required, but is helpful. Lien resolution experience is particularly helpful.
1-3 years paralegal experience is preferred.
Current position available is a full time, 40 hours per week position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
