    Workplace Task Assistant-Woodlawn, MD (Long term Contract, 2025)

    On-site role

    Must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

    The individual(s) assigned to this contract must be a Workplace Task Assistance (WTA) Contractor, with a basic liberal arts college background with a focus in writing, analysis and other related subject matters or possess comparable work experience. The WTA must also possess at least two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a medical, elder care, or educational setting or alternatively, have extensive experience with writing/editing. Other work or academic experience may be substituted for the above with written approval from the COR. The ability and skill level may include, but is not limited to the following:

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – Workplace Task Assistance, Contractor

    • Proficient knowledge and mastery of the English language in order to read for employees with disabilities.

    • Ability to read a variety of handwritten/printed and on-screen materials to visually impaired employees or applicants.

    • Ability to verbally describe various visual aids such as: graphs, charts, pictures, illustrations, etc. used to supplement written/printed text.

    • Ability to review and/or edit signature-ready documents following or adapting established OEOCR formats.

    • Ability to identify and learn the basic structure of a federal agency in order to determine sources of documents.

    • Proficient knowledge and ability to use MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

    • Ability to take notes during meetings, conferences, trainings, and provide said documents in written/or electronic format to employees with disabilities.

    • Ability to perform data entry tasks.

    • Ability to organize and alphabetize documents in order to maintain office records and files.

    • Ability to understand and follow policies, specific instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.

    • Ability to prepare and print routine correspondence, labels, and/or other written material.

    • Ability to support Government Agency's disability program by attending meetings, providing basic administrative support, assisting with policies, procedures, and scheduling of WTA requests, collecting data, preparing reports, and conducting basic research under guidance of Government Agency's staff.

    • Proficient verbal communication skills to speak with different levels throughout a federal agency.

    • Ability to safely maneuver physically impaired employees in wheelchairs to various destinations within the work environment, defined as Government Agency's buildings and other business-related destinations and to drive a Government Agency's scooter.

    • Ability to work as a part of a team and accept a variety of feedback on deliverables.

    • Comfortable working around service animals.

    • Ability to travel by plane, train, bus, or other mode of public or private transportation to destinations throughout the country to accompany and provide reasonable accommodation services to an individual with a disability who is on Official Travel for Government Agencies.

    • Understanding of and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards.

    • Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

    • Possession of a valid driver's license from the applicable U.S State or territory and possession of a personal motor vehicle that will enable the WTA Contractor to travel to different work sites in a given day.
