CAREER OPPORTUNITY FOR A SHARP AND FOCUSED ATTORNEY

Seeking HIGHLY-MOTIVATED litigator experienced (4-8 years) in general commercial litigation and real estate litigation (including commercial Landlord-Tenant) matters. The position is with a thriving Manhattan practice with expanding workload, focused primarily on litigations in NY Federal, State and City Courts (primarily in Manhattan and Brooklyn). You will be working directly with the Firm’s principal attorney who will be overseeing your work as well as furnishing guidance and strategy for the completion of assignments. Nevertheless, you must be a self-starter and have a demonstrated ability to complete assignments independently - without constant supervision.

Responsibilities: • Conducting legal research (Lexis); • Preparing basic litigation documents, including pleadings, motions and discovery documents; • Court Appearances; • Trial preparation and engaging in case investigatory work. Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience with the foregoing, as well as experience using Efile, ECourts, ECF, along with software traditionally used in connection with the practice of law (Microsoft Word, Adobe, etc.), for word processing, scanning, printing, etc. • Familiarity with the CPLR, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and practice in New York State/Federal; • Good legal analysis and problem-solving skills; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak with clients, court personnel, etc.

Ideal Candidate will be working presently at another Manhattan or Long Island firm. Partner-Level Attorneys with at least $500,000 in Portable Business and Seeking New Relationship will also be considered. Please do not apply if you are not qualified.
