  • Responsibilities

    • Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for operating equipment used in manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. • The job requires the daily operation of the line equipment. This can be single operator equipment and lines and dedicated segments of equipment within our high-speed lines. • This job requires daily management of equipment, lines, and/or machines. This work requires intimate knowledge of how equipment is set up, daily operation for maximum output, and daily dismantling and cleaning procedures. • First-level troubleshooting and basic maintenance are required. • Participate in coordinating the activities of production line workers Responsibilities: • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as line workers and/or operators. • Confer with other operators and/or supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between lines. • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees. • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. • Confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. • Review production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering equipment limitations and time constraints. • Record product, packaging, and other information on specified forms and records. • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. • Start the machine by engaging controls. • Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature. • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards and remove defective products and packaging material. • Uses internal ERP system (computer kiosk and/or handheld) daily for the job and/or material tracking • Abide by safety and sanitation regulations and follow all work procedures. • Have strong attention to detail skills. • Have strong communication skills • Be dependable • Ability to learn equipment functions, processes, procedures, and operation instructions • Be able to work and lead in a team environment • Have a basic mechanical aptitude • Working with all levels of equipment Qualifications: • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) • 6 months of food manufacturing experience • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Work daily in a team setting with company management, area supervisors, and maintenance teams. • Accountable for daily output of equipment and/or line • Basic Math and Computer Skills • Strong knowledge of GMPs • Ability to lift 50 lbs. / pull 110 pounds • Be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day • Ability to climb 2-10 ft ladders Compensation: $15 - $18 hourly
