    We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. As a Journeyperson Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

    If you've read this far, you probably know the basics of "what" a licensed plumber generally does, but we thought we would clarify just in case!

    Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.

    Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.

    Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, water softeners, etc.

    Receive and complete work orders.

    Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.

    Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.

    Maintain inventory of Adams tools, equipment, and materials.

    Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.

    Respond to emergency calls as needed.

    Here are some other things that may come with the job, just so there are no surprises:

    Working in other areas of the Service Department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects.

    Requires flexibility and understanding that all team members may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Adams team.

    This is what you'll need to bring to the table (requirements):

    Plumbing Credentials:

    Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber License

    Excellent customer service and sales skills

    Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques

    Some post-high school education from college, trade school or military

    Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Plumbing trades

    Has the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to Plumbing systems

    Technical aptitude with knowledge of local plumbing codes and an ability to use resources at hand to find solutions

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

    Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments

    Good computer technical skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general software navigation.

    Possess a strong personal desire for improvement;

    Have a clean, neat and professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in himself and in others

    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and background

    Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required

    Physical and other Requirements:

    Must be able to stand, bend, twist and lift more than 40 pounds periodically throughout the shift

    Must be able to pass a lift test

    Must be able to pass a drug test

    Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
