    Employment and Apprenticeship Readiness Program

    In our five-week program, trainees will earn NCCER Core, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and Aerial Platform certifications. Training will include a variety of NCCER Level I modules applicable to several craft trades such as construction math and drawing, introductions to hand and power tools, and rigging and material handling. Participants will also be mentored on employment readiness to include resume review, interview preparation and job search assistance.

    Although training is not paid, participants will have the opportunity to interview with employer partners as part of the course and may be hired by those employers upon graduation.

    ACS Apprenticeship Readiness

    Adaptive Construction Solutions, Inc. (ACS) is a veteran owned company that operates both employment and apprenticeship readiness programs and a community based DOL Registered Apprenticeship program. ACS programs provide sponsored training resulting in industry-recognized credentials needed for a future in construction. ACS operates one of the largest and fastest growing Registered Apprenticeships in the nation.

    Training Environment

    Training will be conducted virtually as often as possible due to COVID-19. However, orientation and hands-on training are conducted onsite. When participants are required to attend in-person training, masks and daily temperature checks are required. Note this is subject to changed based on applicable regulations and mandates in place at the time of training.

    Compensation

    This employment and apprenticeship readiness training is unpaid.

    Candidate Requirements

    While no experience is needed, candidates are required to:

    • Work in and promote a drug-free environment
    • Be able to carry 50/60+ lbs of equipment and lift 100 lbs
    • Be willing to work at extreme heights (60 to 300+ feet) and in confined spaces
    • Travel as required by employer
    • Be reliable and practice good attendance
    • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
    • Provide references attesting to a good work history
    • Have completed high school or earned an equivalent
    • Preference is provided to applicants who have served in the Armed Forces
