GYMGUYZ is looking for a certified personal trainer with a passion for adaptive fitness, safe movement, and meaningful client impact.
This role is ideal for a trainer who enjoys working with clients who may need extra support, patience, creativity, and individualized programming. You may work with active adults, seniors, clients with mobility limitations, clients with disabilities, beginners, neurodivergent clients, or individuals returning to fitness after a major life or health change.
GYMGUYZ brings personal training directly to clients in their homes, offices, and community locations. No gym rent. No membership sales quotas. No waiting around for walk-ins. We connect you with clients who need coaching, encouragement, accountability, and safe, customized fitness support.
This is not a physical therapy role. It is a personal training role focused on safe, adaptive exercise within the trainer’s scope of practice.

What You’ll Do
Deliver safe, effective, encouraging personal training sessions in clients’ homes and on-site locations
Modify exercises based on each client’s goals, abilities, mobility, confidence, and comfort level
Build personalized fitness programs focused on strength, balance, mobility, stability, endurance, and functional movement
Use the GYMGUYZ App to manage programming, reassessments, notes, and client progress
Create a positive training environment where clients feel respected, capable, and supported
Communicate clearly with clients, families, caregivers, or support teams when appropriate
Track progress through reassessments and ongoing client communication
Manage your schedule and travel efficiently within the Bellingham-area territory
Collaborate with a supportive team that shares your commitment to client results and client care

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Nationally recognized personal training certification, such as NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent
Current CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain before starting client sessions
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally between appointments
Strong communication skills, patience, professionalism, and positive coaching energy
Ability to modify exercises safely for different fitness levels, mobility levels, and client needs
Comfort using mobile and web-based apps for scheduling, client notes, programming, and communication
Commitment to staying within the personal trainer scope of practice
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or interest in adaptive fitness, senior fitness, corrective exercise, functional training, or special populations
Experience working with clients with mobility limitations, disabilities, balance concerns, chronic conditions, or post-rehab fitness goals
Additional education or specialization in adaptive fitness, senior fitness, corrective exercise, inclusive fitness, or functional movement
Experience with Trainerize, Mindbody, or similar fitness platforms is a plus
Newly certified trainers with strong people skills, patience, and professionalism are encouraged to apply
