Position: Full Time-Licensed Addictions Counselor

Responsibilities

Our Alcohol and Drug use Counselors work with a range of enthusiastic and motivated staff including nurses, in our medication assisted outpatient facility. Counselors work with patients in individual sessions, employing curriculum based on Harm Reduction, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and the Matrix Model. Counselors provide patients support and encouragement in their efforts to change their lives while teaching those tools needed to live lives free from addiction. Work hours are 5:00am-1:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

LAC through Kansas BSRB

Bachelor’s Degree: Psychology or Human Services degree

Pass drug screening test

Pass criminal history and abuse registries background checks

The starting annual salary range for credentialed substance abuse counselors is from $50,000-$52,000. Actual starting salary is based on education, credentials, and experience. The benefits package includes employer paid Dental and 50% of health insurance premium. $1000 sign on bonus upon hire.
