    Job Description

    SUMMARY: Addteq is looking for mid to senior level (4-6 years experience) NodeJS developer to join our R&D Team. The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter that can communicate clearly. You’ll be working with a product-focused scrum team to deliver features and coordinating with a team of co-workers to deliver top-tier software.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Develop new user-facing features.
    • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
    • Apply knowledge of common, relevant architecture frameworks in defining and evaluating application architectures.
    • Perform code reviews and providing critical suggestions for fixes and improvements.
    • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
    • Optimize components for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Willing to learn new frontend and backend technologies.
    • Develop and adhere to best-practices for developing applications.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Deep knowledge of NodeJS practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience creating self-contained, reusable and testable modules and components.
    • A deep understanding of web technology stack including extensive experience in NodeJS stack.
    • Experience scripting in Go (experience with languages such as Python also considered).
    • Knowledge of highly interactive web apps (HTML, JavaScript, Angular JS).
    • Knowledge on how to integrate web applications with Restful API's.
    • Mandatory Javascript and framework experience preferred with at least one of these: JQuery, Backbone, Ember.js, Prototype.
    • Good understanding of HTTP and comfortable working with REST APIs.
    • Knowledgeable about web standards like CSS, JSON and XML.
    • Hands on user experience with using Jira for issue tracking and project management.
    • Good understanding of SDLC.
    • Working knowledge of at least one version control tool: SVN, Git, Perforce etc.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills. Documentation should be second nature.
    • Comfortable with Linux/Unix command line basics such as navigating file system, searching and debugging logs.

    NICE-TO-HAVES:

    • Atlassian Tools SDK familiarity: Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, Stash, Bamboo.
    • Previous experience with Atlassian Plugin development.
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
