Aderas, Inc. is dedicated to providing services to help our clients meet their missions. We are seeking a Sr. C# DevOps Developer to join our team and be a key part of a financial management project in Washington, D.C.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide thought leadership in architectural and application design processes as applications and development processes move from legacy client desktop to modern web applications.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps processes through expertise in Agile development methodologies, modern development trends, and supporting automated tools.
- Responsible for establishing and enforcing best practices for the design, development, and testing of modernization efforts in an Agile environment for multiple legacy applications
- Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of C# WinForms applications and the evolution of a web framework and web services.
- Research, analyze, and validate advanced and emerging technology solutions to establish a roadmap for the continued evolution of the modernized architecture
- Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture to provide recommendations on system options, risks, cost/benefit analysis, and impact on cross-functional business goals and processes.
- Directly integrate with customer teams to provide technical expertise in both theory and delivery of solutions
- Prepare, document, and present solutions to current and prospective customers
Required Education, Years of Experience, Qualifications & Certification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field of business
- Ten (10) years progressively technical and complex automated information systems software and software development and architecture experience
- Experience developing systems using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- Experience developing systems using C# WinForms
- Experience developing systems using Oracle
- Experience with the following technical solutions:
- C# application performance optimization
- C# application control of MS Excel that uses add-ins to perform calculations (32-bit Office or 64-bit Office)
- C# integration of PDF generation capability
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience developing applications using design patterns and systems architecture using web services or an SOA enabled framework
- Experience with enterprise database architecture (Oracle) and application design
- Extensive experience working in a DevOps environment and architecting and configuring tools (Azure DevOps Suite and/or Jenkins) and applications in DevOps environment
- Experience in designing financial/actuarial systems (or other systems that involve complex calculations, e.g. benefit and liability calculations) solution
- Expertise in IT Security and Privacy with demonstrated experience of applicable security and compliance controls for Federal government and PII
- Demonstrated expertise in successfully migrating applications and databases from legacy environments
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and in teams and provide organizational and leadership skills.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills working directly with clients
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to interact with clients on a high technical level and clearly deliver, present and articulate solution benefits
- Strong presentation skills with PowerPoint and diagrams
Preferred Qualifications & Certification(s):
- Working knowledge of Agile story management tools (JIRA Align / Agilecraft)
- Technical certification from Microsoft related to .NET programming (e.g., MTA, MCSA, MCSD)
- Technical certification as Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional or similar
- Technical certification in security practices such as CompTia Security+
- Experience implementing and working with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit and JUnit
- Additional certifications or training in DevOps tools, cloud, or Agile management
