ADJUNCT FACULTY POSITIONS, DIVISION OF SPORT MANAGEMENT
The Division of Sport Management seeks adjunct faculty candidates to teach a variety of courses face-to-face (no online, virtual or remote teaching opportunities at this time) in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Rank and salary are based on education level, the quality and quantity of relevant industry experience, and the quality and quantity of college teaching experience.

Qualifications:
Teaching and experience are at the core of being an effective adjunct faculty member, so experience teaching in higher education in the field of sport management or sport business, in addition to industry experience are highly valued. Minimum requirements for candidates is a master’s degree in the field or at least a minimum of five years of significant work experience in the field.
Experience using the Canvas learning management software (LMS) is preferred, as is experience delivering content remotely via Webex, Zoom, VoiceThread, Panopto and related technology. Candidates with little or no experience using LMS or remote meeting software must be willing to learn how to use these technologies as part of their pedagogy.
Responsibilities:
Adjunct faculty work under the direct supervision of the Division Chair. Once assigned a course or courses, they are expected to:
· Prepare and distribute to students a course outline in accordance with the course syllabus.
· Develop instructional materials (lectures, readings, assignments, exams, projects, etc.) that will achieve the learning outcomes as stated in the course syllabus.
· Evaluate student performance throughout the semester and provide periodic and constructive feedback to students in a reasonable timeframe.
· Be available to engage with students outside the classroom by email, phone, web conferencing, or face-to-face meetings.
· Evaluate student performance and post final grades for each student within the timeframe required by the Provost’s Office and be available for two weeks after the semester concludes to discuss final grades with students by email or phone.
· Promptly respond to requests for information before, during, and after the course as required by the Division Chair and the CCPS Dean’s Office.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hire-on rate is Adjunct Instructor $1,750, Adjunct Assistant Professor $1,850, Adjunct Associate Professor $1,950, Adjunct Professor $2,150. All Kofax Sr. Sales Engineers regardless of title or level must possess the following skills and knowledge:
(Internal & external) – including but not limited to professional writing, problem escalation, and good analysis skills as outlined below.
Ability to plan for and conduct an Interview with the prospect and/or customer to determine the true business requirements to help build a valid Return on Investment (ROI).
Critical path analysis to do risk assessment, problem decomposition and resource estimation. Not a concentrated focus on the tools available to manage projects but a working knowledge of the concepts and how they apply in sales situations i.e. knowledge of the theory, not the mechanics.
Professional presentation skills and experience in team selling, solution selling methodologies, and an understanding of and ability to utilize the Kofax Sales Process
Ability to manage projects including preparation for presentations and demonstrations, training, scheduling, and reporting, and expense processing. This is critical to the success of the sales opportunities as the Sr. Sales Engineer will be required to manage multiple sales campaigns at any given time.
A HIGH LEVEL UNDERSTANDING of basic networking and operating system concepts, Visual Basic development / scripting – Ability to develop, test and deploy custom VB/VBA scripts, Java and JavaScript, Industry specific business pain points with active paper processing, storage, and retrieval, and an understanding of J2EE, XML, .NET, OCR, ICR and their use in business processing.
A HIGH LEVEL UNDERSTANDING of each of the suites that constitute the Kofax product line and the ability to fit the pieces together into the whole strategy - By stating the requirement for ‘a HIGH LEVEL UNDERSTANDING’, it is defined as the ability to:
