    Overview of Responsibilities: Performs a broad range of member sales and service functions as well as teller transactions to deliver the desired member experience. Focuses on listening to identify member needs, asking questions and cross selling products and services as effective solutions to build loyal member relationships.

    § Member Service Representative: Member service responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing loan applications, opening new memberships, opening IRAs, setting-up automated services and supporting Call Center as needed. Effectively explains ownership options and eligibility requirements for membership and ensures that all paperwork, documentation, and signatures are completed accurately as required.

    § Teller: Follows MSGCU’s service standards to accurately complete teller transactions and balance drawer and checks at the end of day. Teller transactions include, but are not limited to: cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, making member payments, processing certificate of deposit transactions, and member account maintenance.

    • **Relationships: **Exceeds member service expectations and builds trusting relationships with members by being the financial expert and shows a sincere interest in the member and their financial success. Uses Creating Member Loyalty skills to effectively handle member complaints and resolve issues by working with members to identify mutually beneficial solutions.
    • Cross-Selling: Uses a consultative approach when serving members, asking high impact questions to identify and meet member perceived and unperceived needs. Listens for member cues and uses in-depth knowledge of MSGCU products and services to cross sell and offers solutions for member needs by focusing on the benefits and value to the member. Offers Credit Life, Credit Disability, and GAP when identified in the members’ best interest and to protect MSGCU. Generates new business by asking for business and referrals.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    § High school diploma or GED; and

    § 6 months of experience as a teller in a financial institution or as a retail sales representative/cashier; and

    § Either

    * 2 years retail sales experience, or
    * Associate degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or Finance, or
    * 1 year of member/customer facing experience within financial services.
    

    ****Working Conditions:

    • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
    • Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU’s service area in order to support other branches as business needs require.
    • Exposed to potentially hazardous condition, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed on an annual basis to minimize risk.
    • This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Base hourly pay begins at $18.65 / hour
    • Team members in this role are eligible to earn incentives as part of our variable compensation plan
    • If you are at least 21 years old, you will receive a 3% contribution from MSGCU, and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k)
    • You will enjoy 12 paid holidays and up to 60 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date)

  • Qualifications

    Master's Degree in discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Prefer teaching experience at the college level. Demonstrated ability to work with various populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures. Experience with instructional technology preferred.

    Responsible for instruction and facilitating student learning; committed to student recruitment, retention and success; assessment of learning, development of curriculum and use of instructional delivery modes utilizing both traditional and non-traditional methodology.

    1. Teach assigned course which may include day, night, and online courses, as well as at the main campus and extension centers. Classes are to meet on time for the full allotted time.
    2. Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximize documented student learning.
    3. Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning.
    4. Grading assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth, returning graded assignments to students in a timely manner, and assigning final grades for all students, meeting or beating all institutional deadlines for completion.
    5. Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled and posted times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment.
    6. Encourage student opinion survey completion for each class and then reviewed after summary information available to assist with increasing student success.
    7. Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training or hour.
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.
