    Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of an Adjunct Professor in the School of Health Professions for the Physical Therapy Assistant Program. FSWs' adjunct professors are responsible for providing professional quality work as a teaching faculty member. Work includes conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College; preparing and delivering lectures/labs to students; compiling, administering, and grading examinations; and providing academic assistance to students as needed. As an FSW adjunct, you have the opportunity to directly impact the college mission to inspire our students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Current unrestricted Florida license as a PT or PTA.
    • At least three years of clinical experience.
    • Doctoral, master's, or bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in a related field or an education degree.
    • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content.
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline.

  • Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent.
    Have access to reliable, insured transportation.
    Must have or obtain and maintain first-aid, CPR, and medication administration certification within six months of hire.
    Provide current physical (less than 1 year) and negative TB test results (less than 1 year) before or upon hire.
    Be able to work as a substitute in classrooms, as needed. Cost for fingerprinting and background check must be paid at time of hire.
