    Job Description

     

    SUMMARY:

    The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible to ensure that all jobs and materials handled in the production environment meet customer and postal requirements as specified. Communication with Management is essential.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for monitoring and tracking quality of products and services produced by our team.
    • Oversees handwork production area and ensures the assigned team knows and follows all job requirements and meets all standards.
    • Conducts inspections of finished product to ensure that mail and material are prepared in accordance with USPS regulations and for accuracy of insertion.
    • Prepares daily reports regarding work quality, and documentation of problem areas and corrective efforts taken.
    • Matches component quantities to the job to ensure adequate materials are on hand prior to the start of production.
    • Ensures team is following quality control procedures. Signs off on packages and components prior to next phase being started. Analyzes information to ensure job meets company goals on quality and timing.
    • Trains new employees (and temporary employees) on quality procedures and company policies. Helps ensure Company policies are followed at all times.
    • Supervises support personnel to assure quality of work processed and compliance to specifications of ancillary processes. Oversees employees in the handwork processing area and reports any job-related concerns.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years’ related experience and/or training. Familiar with the pertinent sections of the Domestic Mail Manual as it relates to the specific classification and/or configuration of mail or equivalent combination of education and experience.
